Department Mission

Mechanical department aims to serve excellent technical education by:

Program Educational Objectives

The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are given below:
PEO-1: To provide strong foundation in mechanical engineering related subjects.
PEO-2: To produce mechanical engineer who are responsible for furnishing neoteric quality work for society.
PEO-3: To motivate and encourage the students to become an entrepreneur.

Programme Outcomes

Programme Outcomes are the knowledge, skills and abilities of students possess after successful completion of the programme.
The Mechanical Engineering Diploma students after completion of programme will be able to:

1. Apply concepts, principles of basic science and engineering in identifying & analyzing routine problems in various industries such as manufacturing, automobile, process, and service.
2. Provide solutions for day to day problems related to organization of resources, production, safety, maintenance, inventory management tools, mechanism & equipments as per the need of manufacturing activity.

3. Use various instruments like profile projector, pressure gauges, tachometer, rotameter, floating carriage micrometer and to perform experiments to analyse and solve various problems.
4. Upgrade existing machine tools and mechanisms as per need of production.
5. Fulfil need of society by assuring quality of product.
6. Understand the impact of the engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development and also ensure safe disposal of waste.
7. Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
8. Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse/multidisciplinary teams and contribute effectively in various jobs assign during project like erection, development and design.
9. Communicate effectively with subordinates seniors and colleagues.
10. Recognize the need in the field of Mechanical Engineering and prepare to engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes in it.
